Diabetic Care - Prevent Diabetic Complications

Diabetes is a serious disease and demands round the clock commitment for the treatment. Careful diabetic care can reduce the risk of serious and often life threatening diabetes complications.
  • Consume whole cereal pulses and their products.
  • Make use of non stick pans , pressure cookers to reduce consumption of fat.
  • Include plenty of leafy vegetables and salad in your diet.
  • Have frequent small meals at equal intervals.
  • Use salt in moderate quantity.
  • Include fiber rich foods in your diet.
  • Avoid refined cereals and products.
  • Avoid alcohol and smoking.
  • Avoid whole milk and whole milk products.
  • Take more of foods rich in antioxidants.
  • Eat brown rice instead of white rice.
  • Take care of portion size while eating.
  • Avoid saturated fats.
  • Maintain your ideal body weight according to your height.
Always remember to stay positive as diabetes is within your control limits. If you are willing to do your part, diabetes wont come in your way of a healthy and active life.
