Remedies for body odor

The apocrine glands in the body produce sweat. There are number of reasons for body odor like excessive sweating, infections and toxins production in the body.
Remedies to prevent odor:
  • Use tissue papers or wipes to wash the odor.
  • Wear fresh clothes regularly and during summer cotton clothes.
  • Wash hands frequently.
  • Wear clean shoes with good leather quality and change socks regularly.
  • Maintain body dry by applying the talcum powder and aviod deodorants.
  • Use an antibacterial soap for bath.
  • Use antiperspirants after shower.
  • Avoid tobacco and drinking alcohol.
  • Drink lot of water to eliminate toxins and avoid excess drinking of coffee and tea.
  • Eat healthy diet such as leafy vegetables, fresh fruits, whole grains, sprouts, soy etc.
  • Avoid or minimize usage of spicy foods like garlic, hot peppers, onions etc. ans strictly stop junk food or processed foods which cut shot toxins level.
Home Remedies:
  • Take wheat grass daily on empty stomach, control body odor.
  • Apply baking soda to the armpits, helps in reduce the body odor.
  • Use mixture of alcohol and white vinegar to wash the armpits.
  • Rub slices of potato under armpits.
  • Add some drops of rose water in the bath tub before taking bath.
  • Apple cider vinegar reduces the pH of the skin and eradicates armpit odor when used in place of deodorant.
  • Better to take three baths per day in summer.
  • Tea tree is an anti-bacterial herb. Make a deodorant by mixing 2 drops of essential oil and one ounce of water.
  • Apply mixture of 10 drops of the essential oil (clove oil) in 30 ml of water to the affected area.
  • Place few drops of vinegar on a cotton ball and apply to the under arms or the area affected.
  • Apply turnip juice to the armpits or affected area.
  • Drinking a cup of sage tea every day.
  • Apply mixture of tomato juice with fresh sage leaves to the affected area for 10 minutes before washing.

Pacemaker-precautions

A pacemaker is a medical device used to control the heart beat. It is small in size, about the size of a pocket watch. It is placed under the skin near the heart by a minor surgery, to control the heartbeat. It can be implanted either permanently or temporarily.

Complications after the pacemaker implantation, though rare, may include the following:
    • Infection where the pacemaker was implanted
    • Allergic reaction to anesthesia used during the procedure
    • Swelling, bruising or bleeding
    • Damage to the blood vessel or nerve near the pacemaker
    • Collapsed lungs

The following precautions should always be considered by the person having pacemaker.
• It is safe to talk over cell phone but avoid placing the cell phone directly over the pacemaker implantation site when the phone is turned on.

• Although it is generally safe to go through the airport security detectors, inform the airport security personnel about the pacemaker before going through the security check, as the device may set off alarm.

• If selected for a more detailed search, politely remind the security that the hand-held metal detecting wand should not be kept over the pacemaker for a longer period of time(more than a second or two), as the magnet inside the wand may change the operating mode of the pacemaker.

• Avoid magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) machines or other large magnetic fields, as they may affect the programming and functions of the pacemaker. Generally, there are alternative to MRI for persons with pacemaker.

• Abstain from diathermy treatment, in which heat is used to t reat muscles.

• Turn off large motors, such as cars or boats, when working on them. These may temporarily confuse the device.

• Avoid certain high voltage or radar machinery such as radio, television, transmitters etc. 
  
• Before undergoing a surgical procedure, inform the surgeon or the dentist about the pacemaker implanted.

• Always carry an ID card that states that you are having a pacemaker.

• It is recommended that you wear a medic alert bracelet or necklace if you have the device.

• The concerned person may need to take certain antibiotic medications before any medically invasive procedure to prevent infections.

• And at last, always consult the physician or the device company for any questions concerning the use of certain equipments near the pacemaker.

Back pain

మెడ నుంచి నడుము కింద బాగము వరకు స్ప్రింగ్ ల వుండే వెన్ను ముక్క లో -మెడ లో 7 , వీపులో 12 , నడుము లో ౫ , తూక ఎముక లో ౩ మొత్తం 32 పూసలు వుంటాయి . ఈ ఎముకల మధ్య లో గుజ్జులాంటి మెత్తటి పదార్దం వుంటుంది . ఈ మొత్తం పదార్ధం అరగడం వల్లే వెన్నుముక్క సంబంధిత వ్యాధులు వస్తాయి .

  • మన వెన్ను నిటారుగా నిల్చొని ఉండటానికి డిజైన్ చేయబడింది . అందుకనే నిలుచోవడం , పడుకోవడం , కూర్చోవడం ... వంటి పనులు చేసేటాప్పుడు వెన్ను నిటారు గా వుండేటట్టు చూసుకోవాలి.
  • వెన్నుముక్క దాని పట్టి వుండే కండరాలు పట్టుత్వాని పెంచే వ్యాయామాలు చేయాలి .
  • వెన్నునొప్పి వున్నవాలు పడక మరీ మెత్తగా , మరీ గట్టి గా ఉండకుండా చూసుకోవాలి , నులక , నవారు మంచాలు వాడకూడదు . అలాగని చెక్కబల్ల మేధ పాడుకోవలసిన అవసరం లేదు . కింద పడుకోకూడదు . ఎందుకంటే నొప్పిగా ఉన్నపుడు కిందకు వంగిన , లేచిన దాని  తీవ్రత పెరుగుతుంది .
  • వైద్యుల సలహా మేరకు బెల్ట్లు వాడాలి , నొప్పి తగ్గిన తరువాత మెడకు , నడుముకు చిన్నపాటి వ్యాయామాలు చేయడం ద్వారా కండరాలు పట్టును కోల్పోవు . అవే బెల్ట్లు గా పట్టుకొని వుంటాయి.

Relax your Eyes

                        మనం చురుగ్గా ఉండాలంటే వ్యాయామం ఎంత  అవసరమో అలాగే      కళ్ళకు కూడా తగినంత వ్యాయామం వుండాలి. ముఖ్యంగా కంప్యూటరు తో  పని చేసే వాళ్లకు ఎక్కువ సేపు ఒకే లక్ష్యాన్ని చూస్తూ వుండడం తో  కళ్ళకు తగినంత కదలికలు వుండవు. పైగా కళ్ళు తవరగా అలసటకు లోనవుతాయి . కళ్ళు రిలాక్స్    కావాలంటే........

  • కళ్ళకు అలసట కలిగినప్పుడు 5 సెకండ్ల పాటు గట్టిగా మూసుకోవాలి . కొద్ది సేపు తెరిచి మరల గట్టిగా కళ్ళు మూసుకోవాలి. ఇలా 6 సార్లు చెయ్యాలి .
  • ఎక్కువ సమయం  కంప్యూటరు ముందు కదలకుండా కూర్చోకూడదు. రెండు గంటలకోకసారి లేచి రెండు- మూడు నిముషాలు పాటు నడవాలి. ఈ సమయంలో కంటి చూపును దూరంగా వున్నా వస్తువులపై కేంద్రీకరించడం ద్వారా అప్పటి వరకు దెగ్గరగా వున్నా కంప్యుటర్ స్క్రీన్ చూస్తూ వుంది అలసటకు లోనైనా కళ్ళు రిలాక్స్ అవుతాయి .
  • కళ్ళను మూసుకుని కనుగుడ్లను వలయాకారంగా తిప్పాలి. 
కళ్ళతో వ్యాయామం :

  1. First of all, sit down in a comfortable position. Cover your eyes with the palms of your hands. Don’t press the eyeballs. Try to relax and watch the darkness for 30 seconds. Breathe quietly and deeply all the time.
  2. Sitting in the same position, look up and hold so for 5 seconds. Then release. Now look down hold so for 5 seconds. Then, again, release. Make 5 repetitions.
  3. Now look right, hold for 5 seconds and release. Then look left, hold for 5 seconds and relax your eyes. Make 5 repetitions.
  4. If you have enough time, you can do the exercises very similar to the previous two: look up left and down right, and then up right and down left with the same periodicity. It will only help more.
  5. Close your eyes as tightly as you can, hold so for 5 second and release. Then open your eye as widely as you can, hold for 5 seconds and relax. Make 5 repetitions.
  6. Rotate your eyeballs 5 circles to the left and relax your eyes. Then rotate them 5 circles to the right and also relax.
  7. Look at the tip of your nose. Don’t be afraid, cross your eyes! Hold for 3 seconds and relax. Then look up at the ceiling without moving your head, hold for 3 seconds and relax your eyes. Repeat 5 times.
  8. Find any object which is near you, for instance, the “escape” button and focus on it for 2 seconds. Then focus far away through the window for 2 seconds. Repeat 10 times.
  9. Standing in one corner of the room (or sitting where you are), scan the objects in the room with your eyes. Focus on the table, then on the clocks, lights, doors and so on. Do this for one minute.
  10. You will simply loose stress and start working freely and comfortably.
